The goods

This week was yet another aaaaamazing week. I did a lot of shopping therapy........... I needed it.

Kill City Skinny Jeans in Bamboo.
10 FUCKING BUCKS AT URBAN. : )

Faux Denim Leggings @ Forever 21.
They are sofab. I look chic without even trying.
Snagged a flowy cream racer back top for summer. Along with some brightly colored bandeaus to wear underneath - no clunky bras in 110 degree weather. Got some clear wayfarers (been wanting these forrrrever - just wasn't sure how to rock em..) they double as sunglasses.. and they're a tad bit larger than these ones in the picture... but you get the idea.

At the thrift store, I scored a comfy as fuck gray tank from Banana Republic, a lace leotard, and a satin lace teddy. I love lingerie .. it's pretty much all I'm gonna be wearing this summer. : )

THESE ARE DEF GOING ON MY WISHLIST......

A day for rejoice

Today I decided to randomly stop by my favorite thrift store of allll time. :) I usually get lucky at this place so.... I strolled on over to the bag section. And hanging there is a midnight blue quilted Chanel shoulder bag. I clumsily tried yanking it out from all the tan leather oldies... it has a cute tassel hanging off of it... it's the bag of my dreams. I'm going to tote this around EVERYWHERE this summer.
It looks exactly like this but blue:

Next I snagged some Victorian-era Mary Janes. They are amazing and just the shoe i needed for nights out this spring. They go great with the faux leather leggings.

I picked up a men's gray tri blend shirt just for bedtime.

And then, I came home to this:

Beautiful.

Comfy favorites

I went shopping yesterdayyy and today! I got some really sweet stuff. I'm starting to pair my basic favorites with a quirky classic piece. Lately I've been all about comfort and sweet lingerie. Lingerie can double for sleeping and going out. It can be dressed up or down and most importantly, you look amazing without really any effort. I get most of my lingerie from vintage stores - in excellent/new condition of course.

As for leggings.. Urban takes the cake with their specialty blend PE leggings... I wear them to bed, brunch, to school. I especially love to dress them up with my gladiator platforms.

I also picked up a pair of purple corduroy rider stirrup pants. Interesting, yes? I figure with a little tailoring and paired with the right top - they'll be amazing. PS. I FINALLY GOT SOME ACID WASH JEANS :) Pictures to come!

Fall '09 Runway Overview, Part I

1. Alexander Wang
My favorite collection of his to date. He took rock, black leather chic to another level. I believe it was the first time I've wanted every single look.

2. Marc Jacobs
The 1980's party scene in New York was his inspiration, with an added personal twist. He continues to stun me with endless creativity.

3. Betsey Johnson
The little girl in me is in love with this outfit. I love Betsey's continuous affection for colored tights and crazy prints.

4. Ruffian
I hadn't heard of this designer, but when I saw the bodystocking, I thought what a fantastic new trend. I'm excited to see this on the streets. It kept the collection flowing with a common theme, yet he added structured, poised suits and Jackie O dresses to top it all off.

5. Abaete
Almost all of their collection caught my eye - looks that are simple but stylish enough for the everyday girl. I've always been a fan of hanging chains, there's something pretty about them.

Still tied to these beauties

I know I am a little bit late when it comes to faux leather leggings... but I am still in love. They go with EVERYTHING. You automatically look chic when paired with hhhigh gladiator heels. I got some cheapies at Target and they're great. But now I have my eyes set on the ones at Urban Outfitters...

Photobucket
I'm in love with those zippers.

AND these fake denim leggings.

I'm going to continue to wear these as long as I can - until Fresno summer hits. I'm trying to figure out what I'm going to rock this spring/summer - I'll probably keep it simple with long hippie skirts, American Apparel tri-blend tanks, slip dresses, and classic prints. And maybe some of these comfy tunics...
