Fall '09 Runway Overview, Part I

1. Alexander Wang
My favorite collection of his to date. He took rock, black leather chic to another level. I believe it was the first time I've wanted every single look.

2. Marc Jacobs
The 1980's party scene in New York was his inspiration, with an added personal twist. He continues to stun me with endless creativity.

3. Betsey Johnson
The little girl in me is in love with this outfit. I love Betsey's continuous affection for colored tights and crazy prints.

4. Ruffian
I hadn't heard of this designer, but when I saw the bodystocking, I thought what a fantastic new trend. I'm excited to see this on the streets. It kept the collection flowing with a common theme, yet he added structured, poised suits and Jackie O dresses to top it all off.

5. Abaete
Almost all of their collection caught my eye - looks that are simple but stylish enough for the everyday girl. I've always been a fan of hanging chains, there's something pretty about them.

Still tied to these beauties

I know I am a little bit late when it comes to faux leather leggings... but I am still in love. They go with EVERYTHING. You automatically look chic when paired with hhhigh gladiator heels. I got some cheapies at Target and they're great. But now I have my eyes set on the ones at Urban Outfitters...

I'm in love with those zippers.

AND these fake denim leggings.

I'm going to continue to wear these as long as I can - until Fresno summer hits. I'm trying to figure out what I'm going to rock this spring/summer - I'll probably keep it simple with long hippie skirts, American Apparel tri-blend tanks, slip dresses, and classic prints. And maybe some of these comfy tunics...

Best shopping trip in awhile...

So we were at the mall yesterday taking portraits and I HAD to duck into a couple shops... I get tempted and I go crazy. Literally I'm pretty sure my brain shuts down, and my hands just start grabbing things. However, after an hour of consideration and many "HELP ME" phone calls...

Vintage fringe vest, $25
I've been looking for one of these since April 2008, I never spend this much on one item.. but I'm not at the level to sew one and it's absolutely beautiful. It'll be perfect for those breezy summers at Golden Gate Park.

Vintage detailed flower necklace
I usually buy earrings 'cause they're cheaper - but the only necklace that caught my attention was this one. Just because it's not like anything else I've ever seen.

Tortoise shell sunglasses
I've been on the lookout for a new pair of sunglasses for summer. Every year, it's my one must. These John Lennon inspired glasses are classic. Love them.

I want to go shopping again today. :)
